Finn is a three year old Border Collie who was born deaf. He is the first dog that I have trained and with Jane’s help at Clever Paws we have achieved great results in our first years competition. Recently Finn has won the Kennel Club Special Pre-Beginners class at Warlingham Dog Show and has qualified to compete at this year’s Discover Dogs at Earl’s Court. With the training he has received from Jane at Clever Paws, Finn has become a more confident dog which has helped him in day to day life and also in his obedience and agility competitions.
Lula & I started our training at East Grinstead Dog Club in the puppy class- we graduated through the classes which we both enjoyed especially when we progressed to Jane’s class. When Jane started Clever Paws I was very keen to join as her training is always great fun and she always has a solution for any problems that occur. Our dogs are always hugely excited when they know we are going to Clever Paws. Lula has also qualified to compete at this year’s Discover Dogs at Earl’s Court and will be going head to head with Finn in the hope of getting to the final at Crufts.
Having been to other training classes with both Mia and Rosie, I have found Jane’s friendly and reward based training at CleverPaws has brought both dogs on leaps and bounds. Mia has become a lot calmer and more attentive and Rosie has done well competing in her first year in obedience competitions. Jane makes her classes a fun learning experience for both owner and dog. I am very pleased to be attending her classes and would not hesitate to recommend to others.
My dog Dylan has come along in leaps and bounds since Jane got her hands on him. His 'bounce factor' is still off the scale, but I can't expect anything else from a labradoodle!
My rescue dogs first Ringo then Barney loved training classes from the moment they realised that rewards were on offer they were very eager to learn! Jane manages to work on individual dogs needs within the class and not only offers invaluable advice but support too.
Bella came to us at 5 months from the Labrador Rescue. She had not had any training and was a typical wayward puppy. Within a week of Bella coming to us she started her training with Jane at Clever Paws and she is making excellent progress. She is now 8 months old and will walk well to heel sit stay and go down on command. She really enjoys the classes and mixing with the other dogs. She has also started to learn some of the dog agility routines. I sometimes wonder if Bella is the pupil or if I am being taught the routines. The end result is the same a much better behaved puppy who is well on the way to becoming an easy and adorable life companion. Thanks Jane
I am really happy to have found Clever Paws Dog Training after a troubled start elsewhere. I can honestly say if it wasn't for Jane & the other members of the competition class & their support Alfie & I wouldn't be where we are in such a short time. We are looking forward to continuing our training.
